I just wanted to say that I'm so happy to find other like minded people out there. I've just 'Googled' handwashing in schools because I was thinking of running teaching sessions at my daughter's primary school. I am a nurse and only too aware of the importance of proper handwashing. With winter colds and flu and swine flu we need to protect our children, family and friends. Good for you - and if you've got any advice I'd love to hear from you!

I fully support Handwashing Awareness and all the basic hygiene that goes "hand in hand" along with it. Despite my constent awareness of hygiene working with children and care I have again been struch down with a serious bug. More should be done within all schools to make children and parents aware of the basic awareness of hygiene.

We found the school assembly very useful. Our pupils are much more concious of the need to wash properly.
